It is situated between Marigondon and Punta Engano in Mactan Island, Cebu. Depending on the resort you have accommodations with, chances are you won’t fall in love with this beach. You will find some parts of the beach small, overcrowded and the strip fronting some resorts a bit dirty while other parts of the beach are better for swimming, and where you can also sunbathe and relax away from the crowd. Not to be confused with another white sand beach with the same name located in Batanes, this beach is fronting the Batangas Strait.

White Beach is the place to be if one is looking for fun beach activities like banana boat rides, jet skiing and snorkeling. There is a good snorkeling area just a short boat ride off the beach coast for a first hand look at the beautiful marine life. It also has one of the liveliest nightlife among the Puerto Galera beaches with it's ten or so beach bars, mainly on weekends. During the summer months of April and May, accommodations could shoot up to 3 or 4 times the regular prices.

Warning: the water gets very deep a few meters from the shore. Too deep for children and non-swimmers.

Small La Laguna Beach in Puerto Galera is cove-shaped with fringing palm trees and clear waters. The beach at Small La Laguna is too small for sunbaking or lazing around on. The distance between the walls of the resorts, tree line and the water line is too close. It has coral reefs, and its water is ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving. There are diving equipment for rent at nearby dive shops. It is located beside Sabang Beach, and can be reached in 20 minutes from the pier by taking a jeepney bound for Sabang.

About 3 km from Daet, Bagasbas Beach is a fine, gray sand beach that is said to be the best in the area, and is very popular with the locals. The waves are really good for surfing specially around the month of August. The surf here breaks left and right on a sand bar, with swells reaching 3-6 feet, with the highest of which can reach up to eight feet. There is no commercial beach resort in the area that I know of, but there are plenty of restaurants and surf shops near the beach. Hotels are also available and are located in Vinzons Ave.

The Babuyan Islands is made up of five major islands, the Babuyan island, Calayan, Camiguin, Dalupiri, and Fuga. Note that the Camiguin island here is different from the island-province of Camiguin in Mindanao.

There is no electricity and no private resorts in these islands. Accommodations are provided for by the hospitable local officials in the form of cottages which can be rented for a nominal fee per night. The Philippines is composed of more than 7,000 islands and boast of the best beaches. Some have already garnered international recognition like Boracay and Amanpulo, while others are yet to be discovered even by the Filipinos themselves.

Just by looking at the map here will already give you an idea of what I mean. My previous posts have barely touched the magnificence of these beaches and I will really make up for it in the days to come. For starters, I finally got rid of the generic blogger template which almost every other blogger uses and got myself a nice new one relevant to our blog's topic.

From March through June, the waves are relatively calm providing a good beachfront for swimmers and an excellent challenge for expert windsurfers. The months from October to February bring in the large waves for beginner surfers to learn the basics with relative safety from scratches, since most of the beach is sandy- bottomed.

A five-kilometer long brown sand beach situated in the town of Lian, Batangas facing the China Sea. Popular among local and foreign tourist alike. It's clear waters ideal for water sports such as swimming, boating, yachting, fishing and skin diving. Along the shoreline are several summer cottages. Excursions are offered by local boatmen to Fortune Island, an uninhabited isle off the coast. It is possible to hire floating bamboo picnic huts anchored out over the reef, which is a good base for snorkeling and partying.
