Kalayukai Beach, Albay, Philippines

Approximately two km outside of Sto. Domingo town and 15 km north-east of Legaspi, is a long, black, lava-sand beach which occasionally has a high surf. The rare black sand beaches along the Sto. Domingo coastline is created from the natural erosion of volcanic rock which evolved from ground lava. The sunrise and moonrise are both very beautiful to watch on this beach. Heading towards Kalayukai, there are strings of resorts that offer entertainment facilities like videoke and billiards and some have their own private pools.
